About us ...

Tony Thursfield - IFA Principal

Independent Financial Adviser

Hello there I am Tony. Thanks for visiting. Here are some bullet points...

I have been an Independent Financial Adviser since 1998 and previously worked for insurance companies and a bank. We are a small client focused firm. Our business comes from established relationships. Clients range from various households to some small businesses. Some relationships go back to 1998 with portfolios ranging from tens of thousands to over one million.

Working relationships have grown organically in the North Birmingham, Cannock, Wolverhampton, and Staffordshire areas. However, not all families live close to each other. Therefore, we also service pockets in Knowle, Solihull, Hereford and even Market Harborough. There are some clients we have never in person but serviced for years.

We are happy to meet you in your home, your workplace, the office, or an agreed location. We also conduct meetings via social media such as What’s App, Zoom etc.

We use a smart hybrid method for meetings. Working through Covid was painful - but with a silver-lining, as previously most meetings were conducted in peoples’ homes.

As our clients know us well, we have moved to conducting the majority, but not all, meetings to social media, telephone etc - which saves considerable time and expense. This also means that we can get on with what we promised to do instead of travelling. In return we reduced the our for those agree to this mode of communication.

We use technology to collaborate with specialist outsourced service providers for compliance, paraplanning and administration with longstanding individuals and firms we trust. It also means that the correct job is allocated to the correct person.

Therefore, there is no need for excessive overheads or empires which is reflected in our fees which we believe are sustainable and sensible.

We use the two ears and one mouth philosophy and believe the most productive meetings come from a structured but relaxed format.

We carefully document information about you, your objectives, listen to your preferences and concerns. We then make appropriate recommendations for you to consider.  You are under no obligation at any point. The initial meeting is free of charge.
